Dr. Akudo Ekwem
Dr. Ekwem has been providing exceptional, patient-first care for over 15 years. Her journey into dentistry began when she saw firsthand how a lack of accessible dental care affected her loved ones. That experience shaped her passion for serving patients with kindness, empathy, and expertise.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of St. Thomas and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University College of Dentistry.
She is highly skilled in sedation dentistry, dental implants, and comprehensive family dentistry. She believes in treating patients like family and ensuring each visit is comfortable, relaxed, and tailored to your needs.
Outside of dentistry, she enjoys traveling, reading fiction, and cooking.

We focus on making sure you feel comfortable every step of the way. Whether you need sedation options, cozy blankets, noise-canceling earplugs, or Netflix to help you relax, we’re here to make your experience enjoyable.
What to Bring
If you have dental insurance, bring your insurance card. New patient forms can be completed online, but if you prefer, you can arrive early to fill them out in the office. If you have any questions or concerns about your visit, let us know—we’re happy to help.
